Sure, Stalzy’s Oktoberfest will entail all the Oktoberfest classics—cold beer, craft cocktails and live local music; but it’s more than that. A portion of Stalzy’s proceeds that night will go toward Briarpatch Youth Services’ to support the Youth Homeless Shelter campaign, which shelters youths in need for up to 28 days. Might as well help a good cause while celebrating Oktoberfest, right? 11 a.m.-10 p.m., stalzysdeli.com

Saturday, Oct. 7
Just in case you haven’t gotten in your weekly dose of beer by Saturday, Quivey’s Grove Beer Fest is hosting 37 breweries in its idyllic, antique-filled grounds to serve more than 100 different beer samples. Go for the beer, and stay for the food and the live music. October? More like Octobeer. $45, Noon-5 p.m., quiveysgrove.com
